Non-laser UV Source Safety

The purpose of this program is to protect workers from the hazards posed by incoherent (non-laser) ultraviolet (UV) radiation sources, including gas-discharge lamps and light-emitting diodes (LEDs), which operate at wavelengths between 180 nm and 400 nm.

It covers the purchase, review, approval to operate, and operation of incoherent UV sources.

It applies to workers, equipment/system owners, area managers, ESH coordinators, the non-laser UV source safety program manager, and Purchasing.
