EEIP

The SLAC electrical safety program provides the SLAC community with the minimum knowledge of safety and recommended practices necessary to protect against electrical shock or burns. The electrical safety program also provides hazard awareness information to those who use electrical equipment.

The program covers hazard identification, equipment standards and practices, safe work practices, and personnel qualification.

It applies to workers, supervisors, line management, construction and service managers, subcontractors, design engineers, system owners, building managers, the Building Inspection Office head, the electrical safety program manager/officer, and Facilities and Operations.

*Note: ESH Manual Chapter 8, “Electrical Safety”, has been cancelled. It has been replaced by the Electrical Safety Manual.
